Genius Tips for Making Your Website Professional

The Secret to a professional website

Many people think designing a site is hard but it’s not as difficult as it may appear.  Today, there are so many programs, tools, and shortcuts to help.  Even a novice can craft a stunning website in no time.Keep reading to learn about these genius tips for making your website professional looking.

Getting Started

Before you publish any web page, check it carefully for broken links. Nothing is more frustrating to a visitor than clicking on a link and being taken to an error page. You can check your links manually, or there are programs that will scan your site for you and report any broken links.

Allow users to cancel an action if they so choose. This could mean ordering products, opting in to an email newsletter, or returning to the homepage from deep within your site. If visitors cannot cancel an action they are not interested in, such as providing their contact information, they will feel they do not have a choice and won’t buy anything.

Give your visitors the ability to search your site so that they can more easily find what they are looking for. If someone cannot find what they are looking for right away, their next thought will be to look for a search field. Put this somewhere obvious and include a search button.

Strong Communication

Always ensure you are giving meaningful feedback, as this is what creates the communication between a website and its visitors. For example, if an action taken by a visitor results in an error, do not simply display “error occurred.” Instead, provide a message that explains what happened and how the visitor can correct the error by taking a different action. Without this feedback, visitors are more likely to grow frustrated and just give up by leaving your website.

Have a site map. These are useful to your clients and the search engines, as they give a detailed overview of your entire website. It can be a guide for viewers searching for a certain part of your site, and also allow you to keep track of its structure and layout.

Use a tracking service, rather than displaying your visitor counter for all to read. Many websites still display their counters, yet they do not serve any real purpose. There are many high quality tracking services available, and some are even free. Use these instead of showing off how many people visit you.

When designing your website, you should avoid using too many different types of fonts. You must also consider how different fonts appear on the standard computer screen; smaller serif fonts (Times New Roman, for example) are somewhat hard to read. Most sites use Vedrana, which is easily read in different colors and sizes.

Tips for Your Background

Do not use images for your background. When you think about some of the biggest websites on the Internet, they do not have images as backgrounds. When you use image backgrounds, you represent yourself as someone who is not well-versed in web designing. Images as backgrounds also cause your site to load slower, which can lead to user frustration.

If you love clean, attractive themes, check out Bluchic! I’ve bought nearly half a dozen themes for my various site and fall in love with each one. And, so many resources available too, like sales page templates, tripwire templates and more!

Improve Readability

Make text easy to ready by using colors that contrast or backgrounds that are easy to read text on. When your text is harder to read because the background or text color creates eye strain or portions of text that are unreadable, site visitors are less likely to stick around.

As stated in the above article, web design today is made simple with the many easy to use software programs that are on the market. If you can follow some simple instructions then you too can enter the world of web design.

Would you be interested?

Read on to learn how to make money flipping micro websites, to the tune of an extra $30K in 2017 and over $100K in 2018, from flipping!

What is Website Flipping

I’m Jenn and I make money flipping websites.  Just like flipping a house, with website flipping you buy or build a website, add value, build it up, then flip it for a profit! Why? It’s profitable and it’s fun.

Here’s a recent  real life example of a lifestyle blog recently flipped:

Monthly income grown to $1,100/month

Monthly expenses under $100/month

Sold for $5,500

How did this website flipping business start?

It all started a few years ago when I sold my first ecommerce business.  I ran the business for several years before deciding to sell.  I was looking for what to do next when I stumbled upon a Pinterest pin on blogging.

After reading the entire post, I went back to Pinterest to learn as much as possible about blogging.  I had some knowledge about influencers as they were a prime source of traffic for the ecommerce store but I had no idea you could actually make a living as a blogger.

While the majority of bloggers may not make a full time income blogging, many do!

So, I decided to start my first blog. It did fairly well, reaching around 10K page views in the first 30 days, going on to accumulate over 10K social media followers in months following. At around 9 to 10 months in, I decided it was the right time to sell.

I sold that first blog for a cool five figures and then moved onto the next!

Here are some blogs I have built and sold:

Fast forward to today. About a year and 10 websites later, I call myself a website flipper.

Wanna learn how I do it?

How to Get Started Website Flipping

It’s a lot easier than you may think. It all starts with a concept. Your concept or idea or niche is what you’ll blog about. You build a whole website around this. You’ll grow it, monetize it, and at some point in the future, sell it!

This is website flipping!

There are two main ways to get started: buy a site or build a site

Buying a site is the faster approach. You buy an established site, fix it up and sell it at a profit. Simple.

Building a micro website allows you to build from the group up, then improve it up, generate traffic, make it income-producing and sell it for profit.

By the way…

It doesn’t even have to be income-producing or traffic generating. I have sold nearly half a dozen starter sites in the last few weeks with zero traffic and zero income!

You can do this too!

I go the build route because it’s fun for me. I’ve flipped so many sites, I really STILL enjoy the process. I find it very rewarding and I’ve made a lot of friends and learned a lot along the way.

Now, I’m teaching others to do what I do, flipping micro websites!

It’s so easy, really anybody can do it..

  • No technical skills required
  • No website knowledge needed
  • Only 1-3 hours/week required
  • Self-paced
  • Be your own boss
  • Create your own dream schedule
